In addition to its weekly science documentary programs on PBS, NOVA has created a production unit, NOVA Giant Screen Films, that is dedicated to making high quality giantscreen films for IMAX theaters at museums, cultural institutions, and commercial venues worldwide.Since 1985, NOVA Giant Screen Films has produced or coproduced six giantscreen films, including the critically acclaimed Shackletons Antarctic Adventure and the Academy Award Nominee, Special Effects.
