Variety reports that first assistant director James McTeigue is in final talks to make his feature film directing debut on Warner Brothers adaptation of the Alan MooreDavid Lloyd graphic novel, V for Vendetta. The pic will be produced by The Matrix team of Joel Silver and the Wachowski brothers, who were once attached to direct the film themselves.McTeigue was the Wachowskis first a.d. on the Matrix trilogy; he also served in that capacity on Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. The trade adds that McTeigue will have the full support and counsel of his longtime collaborators, the Wachowskis.
